Dawdling At The Store

I have such a good laugh every day at work. I’d like to think of myself as a pretty laid back guy and nothing really rustles my feathers, so to speak. My workmate is the complete opposite. Everything gets under his skin. Like, mate – if the apprentice wants to waste his education and spend his time pretending to be picking up tools and materials from every local hardware store in the Hampton area, then so be it. We’re not running this company and it won’t impact our bottom line in the slightest if the apprentice takes too long to pick up electrical supplies from Cheltenham. Don’t sweat the small stuff mate, it’s not worth it.

Anyway, that’s why I find this whole thing so funny. I watch my coworker get increasingly mad as each day and hour goes on, while simultaneously watching the apprentice remain completely oblivious to the whole thing. Well, he’s either oblivious or just doesn’t care in the slightest – I’m yet to work it out.

I don’t really have a point to this blog post other than to recount my life and experiences. I live a very normal life by many people’s standards but I enjoy every minute of it. I don’t get too caught up in issues and I don’t ever let myself worry about things that I can’t control. It’s the best way to live, in my humble opinion. Seriously, my workmate looks like he’s going to pop a blood vessel every time the apprentice comes back late from the Hampton hardware store. Myself on the other hand, cool as a cucumber.

I’m not saying one way is better than the other in terms of living, but I am saying that I would much prefer to live the way I live, rather than the way my workmate lives. He cares way too much about work and it seriously can’t be healthy.
